Sarawak companies not affected by HSBC exit


PETALING JAYA: HSBC Malaysia Bhd’s decision to cease its corporate banking business in Sarawak is a non issue for companies in the state, said analysts.

This is despite some reports linking the share price slide in Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd (CMSB) to the exit. The stock declined 34 sen, or 3.4% yesterday to close at RM9.54.
