Torch bearer
LIMKOKWING University’s MBA student Wang Ji has been chosen to run in the 2008 Olympic Torch Relay as the Olympic Torch passes through Kuala Lumpur on April 21.
Wang will be one of 80 runners accorded the privilege in Malaysia. He was selected by the Beijing Olympic Organising Committee in China.
Currently the chairman of the China Students Federation Malaysia, Wang said he was thrilled to have been offered the honour of representing not only the 8,000 international Limkokwing students, but also the 12,000 students from China currently studying all over Malaysia.

“This is a once in a lifetime chance for me. I’m very proud to be selected to run on behalf of my fellow students here in Malaysia,” said the 25-year-old lad who hails from Huludao City in LiaoNing Province, China.
Limkokwing University president Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing also expressed his happiness over Wang’s selection for the Olympic Torch Relay.
“Wang's selection is testimony that our students are always setting new benchmarks in various endeavours,” he said.
In conjunction with the Olympic Games, the university's Content Creation Centre is also producing a short video presentation promoting the games as well as Malaysia-China bilateral relations.
The video will be shown on television prior to the Torch Relay event, as well as during its opening ceremony at Dataran Merdeka on April 21.
