Open day
STUDENTS and parents are invited to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman’s (Utar) Open Days on the following dates: today (Petaling Jaya campus), July 27-28 (Kuala Lumpur campus), Aug 25-26 (Perak campus) and Sept 8-9 (Sungai Long campus). Talks on programmes, campus tours and academic counselling will be available on all dates. Free shuttle bus service is provided at certain pick-up and drop-off points for visitors’ convenience. Writing workshops
THE Centre for Extension Education, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) will be holding a workshop called “Be Great with Grammar” (9am to 5pm, July 24 to 25) and another workshop on “Writing for the Media” (9am to 5pm, Aug 28 to 29). The fees for both workshops are RM680 per participant and includes course materials, lunch, refreshments and a certificate of attendance awarded by Utar. Organisations that send three or more participants will be entitled to a 10% discount of the workshop fees. Drawing, painting classes
THE Department of Extra-Mural Studies, Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) is offering classes on drawing and painting for adults. The classes will cover basic drawing skills, sketching, colour study and the opportunity to learn painting through different mediums.
