MUET results
THE results of the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the Nov 2012 session will be released on Tuesday. Candidates can obtain their results from their schools or institutions from 10am onwards while private candidates will receive their results via post. Results are also available through SMS from 12.01am on Tuesday by typing MUET space RESULT space IC Number, and sending it to 15888.
Candidates can also log onto the Malaysian Examinations Council (MEC) website at
www.mpm.edu.my from 9am onwards .
For those interested in registering for the March session of the MUET, they can do so via the MEC website or
www.mesp.gov.my/online. The closing date for registration is Jan 14.
Fellowship applications
THE East-West Centre in the United States is accepting applications for a Japan Studies Fellowship and an Asia Studies Fellowship. Fellows will reside in Washington, begin their residency as early as May 2013 and may conclude it in January 2014. For information, visit

Anniversary reunion

Chinese art
THE Department of Extra-Mural Studies, Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) is offering a new Chinese art class starting this month. Participants will learn Chinese ink painting and calligraphy.
