Mum, teacher and idol
THERE are no words to describe how truly wonderful she is. I have known her since I was a child and she has helped me in so many ways.
Puan Sukunah Shanmugam is an amiable person who has a great sense of humour. She teaches me Mathematics and Science.
She uses a variety of techniques. For Mathematics, she teaches me in a fun way by making sure I understand the topic. She uses mnemonics and explains everything in detail. For Science, she does simple experiments, quizzes and also gives me presents if I do well in my examination.
Her method of teaching has helped me in my studies and motivated me.
She is also a caring person. If I have a problem, she listens to me patiently and helps me make wise decisions.
During my final year examination last year, I was stressed and she helped me relax and remain confident.
She advised me to do my best as she had faith in me. I was touched and vowed to do my best.
I did very well and was the top pupil in my class.
Puan Sukunah has not only helped me but many other students to realise their full potential.
She has made learning a joyful and fun experience and has the right methods to motivate her pupils.
Unfortunately, Puan Sukunah who taught at SMK Kota Kemuning, Selangor, resigned in January 2013. She is my idol and I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to her for her support and awesome teaching style.
I will do my very best in my studies to make her a proud teacher and mother. Yes, you read it correctly, she is my mother. I love you and Happy Teachers Day!
