Language motivator
EVERYONE has an idol and mine is Puan Dharmini Lourdes, who teaches me English in SMK Jelapang Jaya, Ipoh.
Some friends think that I am crazy for idolising her, but I don’t find anything wrong with that.
She is the school’s Girl Guides advisor and comes dressed smartly in her uniform every Wednesday.
Her English lessons are interesting and I know that she puts in a lot of effort to get her students to participate in class activities. She is patient and often gives us tips on improving our essays and spoken English.
She is very concerned about our studies and tells us to read books to improve our English since it is an international language.
She often encourages us to take part in projects and competitions organised by The Star mainly to improve our language and social skills.
I must thank her for all that she has done as I speak better English than I used to before. Besides being an excellent teacher, I am also struck by her grace and beauty for she is pretty with lovely eyes and hair.
I would like to thank Puan Dharmini for guiding and teaching me.
