A different perspective
MY former English teacher Miss Tay is perhaps the teacher who truly touched my heart.
My primary school days were the best because of her. Back when I was 12, she taught me English. She made me “fall in love” with the language and her lessons.
She used to share wonderful stories about the places and countries she visited and that caught my interest.
Miss Tay made me see the beautiful side of life. She opened my eyes to see the world from a different perspective.
And the best part of it all, she realised I had a talent for writing, which I never knew myself.
Expressing my thoughts on paper makes me happy but if it wasn’t for her, I would have never been the person that I am now; a believer and a dreamer.
One day, I hope to be just like her, visiting exotic places around the world.
I may not want to be a teacher but I would like to be a paediatrician perhaps living in Brazil.
I would love to travel places and see what life has to offer elsewhere.
So for now, I have to be the best of the best in order to achieve my dreams. And I have Miss Tay to thank for.
Although it has been years since I last saw her, and before it is too late, I want to say that I love her.
