PENANG: The DAP will meet other opposition parties to discuss who should be Opposition Leader in Parliament.
Party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said it was likely that the leader of the party that won the most seats in the general election would get the post.
However, he said the parties would have to reach a consensus first.
He said PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had the support of all opposition parties.
He is accepted by all, Lim said after speaking at the DAP national leadership conference held in conjunction with the partys 42nd anniversary celebrations here.
However, Lim said Anwar had to first win a Parliamentary seat.
DAP is hoping for that to happen as soon as possible but its for him and his party to decide, he said.
Lim, who is Penang Chief Minister, also said the priority now was to form new governments in Perak and Selangor.
