1) PLEASE give me your choice of answer for the question below, with the reasons as well. This question is part of a primary school English exam paper.
Question:
Students were given forms to fill in by their teacher on the 25th March. They were asked to complete and submit the forms on the 4th April. How many days were they given to complete and submit the forms?
A. 8 days B. 9 days C. 10 days D. 11 days
2) For school essays, how should students write dates? Should they write 25th March or 25 March, or is there any other format currently accepted by the British system?

1. By my calculation, the students were given 10 days to complete and submit the forms. I didn’t count 25th March since it’s one day between 25th March and 26th March, another between 26th and 27th and so on until the 4th of April.
3. According to the guideline in the reference section of the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (2005, p. R 65), that date would be written as either 25th March or 25 March in British English. In American English, it would be written March 25.
