‘Cause’ and ‘course’ of action

IN response to a question posed by Angel regarding “cause of action” and “course of action” (Nov 22), I hope these dictionary meanings will help to answer it.

Cause of action - “The facts that entitle a person to sue. The cause of action maybe a wrongful act, such as trespass.” (Oxford Dictionary of Law – 4th edition)

Course of action - “A way of acting or proceeding - e.g. What course of action would you recommend?” (Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary – 5th edition)

– dct, Ayer Tawar
