Classes, anyone?

I WONDER if after 12 weeks of attending these classes, we will be able to talk and converse “freely” in Malay/English. After all, “guarantee” is wrongly spelt, “talk” and “converse” mean basically the same thing, and “fluently” is probably the word to use rather than “freely”. This notice was put up at a bus stop in Jalan Universiti, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. – Chow Lak Keong

‘A’ before ‘unique’

I SAW this advertisement in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. I think they have mistakenly put “an” instead of “a” before “unique”. – Shahaab Yaarmohammadi

‘More fresher’?

I AM wondering if the report in the Sport section of The Star dated Dec 3 is correct: Chong Wei controlled the first game but in the second game he looked tired, as he had been playing too many tournaments. “His recurring knee problem also affected his game. Lin Dan looked the more fresher player.” Should we use “more fresher” when the correct options are “more fresh” and “fresher”? – Sean
