No kom fort on M Hatch 2626

EVERY time I am on board a MAS flight, I cringe when I hear the announcements made by the leading stewards and stewardesses.

I hope they will take steps to ensure that they pronounce their words correctly, in particular the name of the flight.

MH2626 is incorrectly pronounced as “M Hatch 2626”. The correct pronunciation for the letter ‘H’ is “aitch”, NOT “hatch”. Hence, the flight should be correctly announced as “M aitch 2626”.

Another word they often bungle is “comfort”, which is correctly pronounced as “come furt,” NOT “kom fort” (as in “computer”).

By extension, it should be pronounced as “comeftuhble” and NOT “kom fortable”.

MAS is an international airline, serving the world. It has won many awards. It should continue to live up to its reputation of being a superb airline by paying attention to details, including the one I am highlighting.

I would encourage MAS to correct these minor infractions.
