Glaring mistakes in our signages
I RECENTLY made a trip to Penang. I enjoyed sightseeing around the island and, of course, I loved the food.
One thing that was disappointing, however, was the standard of English as displayed on some signage.
The sign at the exit of the Penang Hill Funicular train station (below) is seen by thousands of tourists every day. Hopefully, it will be changed immediately. – S. Paul
This sign (above) was spotted at the government hospital in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Perhaps the Ministry of Health is competing with the Ministry of Defence (and its recent “clothes that poke eye” blunder) for the best signage in English. – Lim Pin Geok
