Assistant minister’s house hit by robbers
KUCHING: Four armed men robbed state Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman and his family of about RM400,000 worth of valuables at their luxury home at Jalan Matang here.
Kuching OCPD Asst Comm Wong Wai Loong said the robbers took away cash, jewellery and handphones in the heist which took place before 5am yesterday.

ACP Wong said that two parangs, believed to have been used by the robbers, were found at the crime scene.
He said the robbers had entered the house from the back.
Sources said Daud, his wife and one of their children were having their pre-dawn meal (makan sahur) when the robbers struck after having overpowered a security guard.
