Changping itself is a bustling city that has much to offer it guests – local or international.

IF you are planning a golf trip to Southern China – home of some world-standard golf courses – arrange for a stay at the Eurasia International Hotel in Changping, Dongguan, China.

A Rolls Royce is available for VIP guests.

The 5-star hotel is one of the largest and most luxurious in Southern China and is located within 30 minutes of some international standard golf courses, such as Mission Hills, CITIC, Firestone, Jiulong Hills, Feng Huang Shang, Hillview and Yinli.

Changping itself is a bustling city that is a transit point for cargo/shipments from the surrounding ports. It is home to numerous SMEs and businessmen use the city as a base to conduct business in Southern China.

Eurasia, already a firm favourite with Malaysian and Singapore golfers, has recently undergone a RM400mil refurbishment. It consists of two multi-storey buildings joined by a sky-bridge and covers an area of over 100,000 square meters. As its name suggests, Eurasia has a combination of both European and Asian architecture and decor.

“Eurasia is virtually a city by itself,’’ was the boast of its co-owner Thomas Toh. Its not an idle boast because it would take a guest half-a-day to visit every facility of the hotel!

These include a luxurious banquet hall, function rooms and eight separate conference halls, all offering the best facilities and services. The hotel has five F&B outlets, including the Vienna Lobby Bar, Flavour Food Street, Chiba Japanese Restaurant, Prague Western Restaurant and Dynasty Chinese Restaurant.

There is also a luxury spa, convenience store, branded clothes shop, souvenir shops, cigar store and an excellent business centre. It offers guests many recreational facilities such as an Olympic-size swimming pool, tennis courts, fully-equipped gym, sauna and even a hair salon.

“We will even be opening a branch of China’s ICBC bank at our lobby soon, Toh said, adding that Malaysian guests need only check-in to the hotel and all their needs would be taken care of.

He said Eurasia had special arrangements with the surrounding golf clubs.

“Many golfers who stay with us prefer us to make bookings for tee-times because we are able to get preferred rates. Transportation to these golf courses are also arranged by the hotel,’’ he said.

Malaysians who fly in to Hong Kong can use the bullet train to get to Eurasia from either Hong Kong (about an hour away) or Shenzhen (25min away). “The Dongguan Railway Station is only 10 min by car from the hotel,” Toh said, adding that MPVs and buses could also be arranged for large groups of golfers.

Eurasia has various types of accommodation to suit a variety of budgets, but they all have one common factor - all the rooms are brand new and all come with satellite TV and internet broadband access. The single rooms come in three varieties while the doubles in two types. There are also three types of suites. For those used to the finer things in life, the presidential suite is available at only RM20,000 a night!
