Prudential support for Causeway Trophy

THE first Singapore versus Malaysia professional match play golf tournament will be staged at Laguna National Golf & Country Club in Singapore from June 7-9 and known as the Prudential Causeway Trophy.
“Being the title sponsor of the Prudential Causeway Trophy is our way of demonstrating our commitment to support local sportsmen and women, and to encourage the growth of a sports culture,” said Prudential Singapore CEO Tomas Urbanec.
“Prudential is delighted to become the title sponsor of this exciting new sporting event for Singapore and Malaysia, and we look forward to the friendly rivalry being played out on the fairways and greens.”
The tournament will follow a team format similar to the Ryder Cup and will pit the best of Singapore’s golfing elite against Malaysia’s over three days of competition.
David Ciclitira, the chairman of tournament organisers Parallel Media Group, said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with such a prestigious brand as Prudential, and are looking forward to working with their team to develop the Prudential Causeway Trophy into one of the region’s most eagerly anticipated and passionately supported sporting competitions”.

Rashid Ismail, S. Murthy, Akhmal Tarmizee, S. Sivachandhran, Shaaban Hussin, Danny Chia, Mohammad Rizal Amin and Anis Helmi.
