Christmas candy
Barbie’s favourite colour comes of age as pinks of all shades take centre stage this Christmas season, along with festive green. REENA GURBAKSH picks out some stunning clothes and accessories in these colours for the yuletide celebrations.
THIS Christmas, think pink! Eye-popping colours have been a big trend this year as designers whipped out their palettes to showcase clothes that were awash with colour. Fuchsia, along with shades of emerald, popcorn yellow and crimson have been some of the brilliant hues that have lit up collections throughout the year. And the colourful assault doesn’t seem to be letting up even as the year draws to an end – which just goes to show, there is enduring and lovable potency in mad-hatter hues!
So this season, what could be better than donning party wear in these candy-coated hues?
This time round, we’ve picked two of our favourites – pink and green – and put together a Christmas collection that uses electric and graphic colour to lend a certain wit and carefree glamour to the yuletide celebrations. There are lots of little baby doll-like dresses that have been whipped up into lollypop-like confections, elegant gowns with sorbet coloured charm and a selection of accessories that command attention with splashes of psychedelic colour.
After all, this is the season to be merry!
