Planning to travel?



One of the smartest things a traveller with disabilities can do before travelling to a particular destination is get in touch with a disability organisation or disabled people in that country – that’s what Bathmavathi Krishnan, a wheelchair user, and Danny Lee, who is deaf, advocate.

These websites provide plenty of good advice on preparing for a trip. There are useful links on travel insurance for the disabled, air travel codes of practice and the types of assistance the disabled can and should expect to get:
