Who’s the Fat Lady’s friend?

SO, have you figured out the first part of the password, yet? Then you could be on the way to getting past the Fat Lady and onto a load of premium Harry Potter goodies on July 21!

If you don’t know what we’re talking about, you obviously haven’t been keeping up with the Potter-verse. You do know that the very last Harry Potter book will be released on July 21, don’t you?

In conjunction with that release in Malaysia on that day, Kinokuniya Book-stores in Suria KLCC has decided to have some fun and make Potter fans earn their goodies.

The store’s entrance will be made to look like the entrance to the Gryffindor tower at Hogwarts; in the books, the entrance, as any fan will know, is guarded by a painting of a Fat Lady that comes alive and asks for a password.

As the artist’s impression on the right shows, there will be a Fat Lady guarding the entrance to Kinokuniya come July 21.

You must be among the first three people to line up at the entrance and whisper the correct two-part password to the Fat Lady when you’re asked. Then you’ll pass through and receive, absolutely free, a copy of Deathly Hallows that’s worth RM235 because it has author J.K. Rowling’s signature printed on the cover.

The next 10 people in line who get the password right will receive the normal editions of Deathly Hallows for free – which isn’t something to be sniffed at, either, since all editions (American, British, adult, children’s) costs more than RM100 each.

So, here are the clues for the password (with last week’s repeated):

1. What plant helped Harry breathe underwater?

2: The Fat Lady has a friend who is named for a colour and a flower; what is her name?

Panicking yet? Not to worry, we’re not cruel people: all will be revealed next week, along with more news about Potter stuff, a special discount just for StarMag readers and exactly what you need to do on the day itself to get your hands on goodies.
