Eco Film Fest
Tomorrow: Join the final instalment of the Film Fest by catching the premier of Blue Gold: World Water Wars, an international award-winning documentary.
The film examines environmental and political implications of the planet’s dwindling water supply.
The film also highlights success stories of water activists around the world and plugs for community action.
Catch performances by the KL Stompers who will entertain with “recycled” musical instruments and Peter Hassan and Markiza (3:30 pm) with their acoustic sounds.
Shop for trendy, green products like the handwoven baskets made from recycled magazines by Salaam Wanita or intricate handicrafts made by local indigenous people and sold by Gerai Orang Asal. From 2.30pm to 6pm. Free admission.

Nov 6-8: Learn the nuts and bolts of starting up your own restaurant. From restaurant concepts, menu and kitchen designs to location choices, get some tips from the experts.
Look at case studies from Kuala Lumpur’s dining scene to learn from others’ successes and failures.
The workshop will be conducted by Jean Michel Fraisse, a hospitality, tourism and food business consultant who has opened and operated restaurants and catering businesses in France and Asia for over 20 years.

Jelly-making Workshop in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness
Today: Held in conjunction with the breast cancer month, participants will learn to make jelly and take home a pewter jelly mould with recipes contributed by celebrity chefs like Emmanuel Stroobant, Ken Hoh, Yvan Cadiou, Jean-Pierre Wybauw and Stefano Deiuri.
Workshop fee is RM200 per person and includes afternoon tea at Royal Selangor Café.
For each RM200, Royal Selangor will contribute RM70 to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association.

Water Music
Today & tomorrow: Join Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) and conductor John Georgiadis for MPO’s Family Fun Day concerts.
Themed “Water Music”, the concert takes you on a voyage around different types of water-related music.

Jamu Dance Series
Today & tomorrow: A contemporary dance performance series that started in 2001, Jamu has set the standards for contemporary dance choreography in Malaysia.
Since 2003, Jamu has received numerous Boh Cameronian Arts Awards in categories of lighting and costume design, choreography, ensemble performances and music.
The dancers have performed in various festivals and events in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, and will be showcasing their work in an upcoming event in Switzerland.
Tickets are priced at RM10/RM5 (students). Performance starts at 8.30pm.
