Sheer temptation

THE irresistible new fragrance from the House of Escada is called Desire Me, inspired by the desire a woman can provoke in a man with a single intriguing look, rendering him momentarily “lovestruck”. Emulating the brand’s hit fragrance Incredible Me, Desire Me is a provocative addition to the ‘Me’ collection.

The smooth, gourmand texture of the base note subtly recreates the olfactive “sensation” of the tiramisu dessert with hints of its key ingredients: mascarpone, coffee and biscuit, enhanced with a dose of indulgent chocolate.

The middle accord blends peony, honeysuckle and orchid, while the top notes offer a bitter-sweet citrus note based on the clementine.

Apart from the EDP, there’s also a shower gel, body lotion and deospray available. Sold at Escada counters.

Wild side

FOR those nights when you want to hang out with the band in black leather, black nail polish and black-rimmed eyes, there’s Rock Me by Anna Sui. The scent borders on the sweet side of dangerous but is deeply romantic at heart.

A wild, young floral fruity essence attracts attention with top notes of Williams pear, green orange and peach, which then delves into a heart of honeysuckle, jasmine and waterlily. Then, the downbeat of the woods takes over with cedarwood, amber and vanilla. The scent also comes in body lotion, and bath and shower gel versions.

For the eyes, there’s a new Moisturizing Eye Treatment Cream that is claimed to give firmer appearance, stimulate blood circulation and reduce dark circles.

Floral sensuality

IDYLLE, the latest fragrance from Guerlain, with its sensual floral composition, is “the embodiment of the moment when everything begins”. The elixir starts with a blend of Bulgarian rose with overtones of raspberry and lychee, mingled with chypre harmony, patchouli and white musk. Last but not least, the complementing bouquet to the roses: lily of the valley, lilac, peony and jasmine.

Guerlain also offers the orchid as its precious age-defying component in its latest Orchidee Imperiale Cream. The cream is touted to be a treatment for all signs of ageing, offering Imperial Orchid molecular extract which is claimed to strengthen the skin’s support structure and promote skin cell renewal. The new Orchidee Imperiale Mask, and Orchidee Imperiale Neck and Decollete Cream contain energising and revitalising active ingredients which deliver anti-ageing properties. Nutty goodness

INSPIRED by the nutty aromas of pistachio desserts, Laura Mercier has created Crème de Pistache, a decadent blend of gourmande ingredients. Her creation captures the essence of creamy pistachio nuts combined with almond, praline and hazelnut nuances, and freshly whipped cream for a rich, luscious experience. Available in Soufflé Body Crème, Body Scrub and Honey Bath versions.
