The MPO Goes Contemporary
Nov 14: The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra goes contemporary in a one-night-only showcase. Aptly themed Exploring Distant Frontiers, the MPO will dazzle with contemporary music courtesy of composers and our very own Yii Kah Hoe.
MPO associate conductor Kevin Field will lead the MPO to present Yii’s Opening Of The Stage, the work that he won at the MPO Forum for Malaysian Composers in March 2007.
The MPO will also collaborate with violinist Matthew Trusler to perform Vasks’ Concerto for Violin — Distant Light. A nostalgia with a touch of tragedy.
Showtime is 8:30pm, tickets priced at RM35.
