Green jeans

FASHION FLASH

JEANS giant Levi’s has come up with a shoe range that is made entirely of reused jeans!

Millions of pairs of old Levi’s jeans are collected from all over the world to make these shoes.

The jeans are washed, sorted according to colour and manually cut. Iconic parts of the jeans are used to make the shoes – watch pockets, copper rivets, buttons, belt loops, leather patch and the trademark yellow stitching. Two pairs of shoes can be made from a pair of jeans.

Each pair of shoes is unique, for the simple reason that different parts of the jeans are used.

In Malaysia, the Levi’s Reused Jean Shoes are now in stores. There are only limited pairs, so if you’re keen, do check them out early. Prices range from RM159 to RM219.
