Among the activities are an introduction to star charts and astro tourism organised by Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Astronomy Club. Real One Malaysia fun weekend mini carnival and signing ceremony

Translating Contemporary German and Malaysian Literature
July 3-July 5 Modern Malaysian and German poetry will be translated by the Goethe-group of translators. If you know the German language and speak Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or Tamil fluently, do join the training group and practical workshops. Musical Jamboree
Today: The 08/09 Season Musical Jamboree showcases the musical talents of the MPO Instrumental Lessons Programme.

MPO in Concert
July 4-July 5: Under the baton of Bernard Labadie, the MPO will present an enticing programme which includes Josef Haydn’s last symphony entitled Symphony No 104 in D — ‘London’, a work that premiered at the King’s Theatre in London’s Haymarket in 1795.
Other repertoire to be performed by the MPO are Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, and Handel’s Water Music Suite No 2 and Alcina. In these showcases, the MPO will collaborate with Scottish soprano Lisa Milne.

Hand in Hand with The Stars
July 3-July 5: The Parents’ Resource for Autism Malaysia (PR4A) is holding a fund-raising concert for people with autism. Their objective is to source for the latest methods of treatment to help autistic children realise their full potential.
Stars performing include Zainal Abidin, Jaclyn Victor, Aseana Percussion Unit, Hands Percussion and others. Tickets are priced at RM103 and RM203.

Mosques in Germany
Opening July 1: The Stuttgart photographer Wilfried Dechau travelled through Germany last year to take pictures of some mosques in their new urban environment. He portrays their interior architecture, the Friday prayer, the imam, the community of children, men and women.
The photos were taken in the cities of Pforzheim, Penzburg, Mannheim, Wolfsburg, Aachen, Karlsruhe
