Serum to save the skin from untimely "death"

By WONG LI ZA

Push your skin cells to work harder to slow down the effects of ageing.

BEING able to administer CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) comes in handy as you can save lives. Likewise, you can also save your skin cells from an untimely “death”.

Our skin is made up of multiple cells, and the biological process is designed to run automatically during our youth. As we age, however, damage caused by lifestyle and environmental aggressors causes ageing, slows or stops cell production.

When a skincare product is named Cell-CPR, naturally you think of functions like jumpstarting and reviving the skin.

The new serum by Skin Nutrition is said to mimic our body’s own biological process of making new cells to counter the ageing process. The formula is touted to revive damaged skin, stimulate new cell proliferation and reduce signs of ageing such as lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, dark spots and sagging.

Youth serum: The latest product by Skin Nutrition touted to revive damaged skin.

“Cell-CPR has two major benefits. One is the nano-delivery system that effectively sends the serum into the skin cells. The other is that the product stimulates the body to push skin stem cells to work harder,” said Richard Purvis, president and CEO of Skin Nutrition.

Purvis, who was in Kuala Lumpur recently for the launch, further claimed that currently, no other product in the market provides the same, identical components of a healthy skin cell. Containing proprietary technologies and ingredients, the serum’s key components include Skin Nutrition Stem Cell Complex, a plant stem cell said to protect and stimulate skin stem cells, and Renovasyn, which contains plant sterols (solid steroid alcohols), omega plankton and photosphingosine, a lipid in the skin that protects internal organs from the external environment.

These elements work towards enhancing skin’s natural protective properties, reducing inflammation and increasing hydration.

Cell-CPR also contains phospholipids, proteins, oxygen, elements of cytoplasm and mitochondria, vitamins and minerals.

All these work together in synergy to help your skin get a better shot at youth.

Skin Nutrition products are available at Emma Lizs and Bizzy Body salons, associate salons and selected Parkson stores.
