Celebrating a harvest
The Rose Nuit de Mai collection is a tribute to the Provence rose harvest. IN Provence, France, there is a tradition of celebrating the rose harvest in May, when the flower’s perfume fills the villages of Provence with a romantic scent.
Young adults celebrate the joy of the first rose harvest by dancing and singing around trees decorated with garlands of roses and bright ribbons. Then, as night falls and bon fires are lit, they choose the most beautiful young woman to be their May Queen.
In a tribute to this rose fest, perfume creator, Alexis Dadier composed the Rose Nuit de Mai scent for L’Occitane. It opens with the fresh and delicate notes of wild rose, a blend of violet, blackberry, and cinnamon, and a lingering note of sandalwood, cedar and vanilla.
The Rose Nuit de Mai Fragrance collection includes an EDT spray (RM175 for 75ml), limited edition shower gel (RM73 for 250ml), limited edition shimmering lotion (RM107 for 250ml) and limited edition EDT roll-on (RM95 for 10ml). Available at all L’Occitane boutiques.
