Search for perfect skin
THE word “ideal” essentially embodies six key factors – smoothness, porelessness, translucence, even tone, fine texture and good skin colour. In Japanese, this ideal skin is called “Tsuya” skin.
It is this quest for ideal skin that has led to the development of Shu Uemura’s latest product, Tsuya Skin.
Human cell membranes contain numerous switches, or cellular receptors, which receive different types of signals to keep the cell functioning.
With age, the functions of almost all these switches change and weaken the skin’s self-regenerative ability.
Shu Uemura’s research centre in Tokyo has identified the “Rhamnose” receptor, which remains stable despite the ageing process, allowing it to continue transmitting vital signals to skin cells. A sugar molecule, Rhamnose, in Tsuya Skin basically penetrates the skin and is said to boost cell regeneration and metabolism. Skin is claimed to become more porcelain-fine, soft and radiant in seven days. Use Tsuya Skin after toner and before moisturiser. It can be used as a stand-alone serum or before your existing serum to enhance the latter’s efficacy.
Available at all Shu Uemura counters. Retails at RM245.
