A generation of smart adults
IN today’s modern world, I still see a conservative setting in which the man brings home the bacon while the woman works from dawn to dusk, largely unacknowledged. It is indeed a sad setting.
Even though, these days, women hold high posts and high-paying jobs, they somehow are still expected to do the chores, nursing, caretaking, etc.
I am glad that Asha Gill highlighted this issue in her column on Wednesday, and I really hope that many women and men alike would have read it. If only we had more people like you, Asha, treating their little men like adults, explaining reasons and accepting the little ones’ logic, we will have a whole generation of responsible and smart young adults.
