I REFER to the article, Idle minds (TV, Feb 7). American Idol is my favourite show (ahem!), especially the auditions.

Did anybody see the “Revolution: I will change the world” guy during one of the auditions? Honestly, the producers should ask them to send in their bios or maybe have a brief meet-and-greet. Then they can cancel out the psychos and “bikini models”.

American Idol is a top-rated show but X Factor and The Voice’s contestants are definitely more serious – and boring. AI is funny and fun to watch.

I like contestants who make a fool of themselves in front of the judges. If you like interesting shows, watch AI and knock yourself down!
