Daddy cool
A pictorial tribute of the sporting kind this Father’s Day.
YOU’VE heard of WAGs (wives and girlfriends, particularly the high-living English football type). What about BAGs? Boys and girls of sport stars. Never heard of it? That’s because we made that up.
Who can blame us for being inspired to mark this Father’s Day by highlighting the sporting fraternity’s father-child relationship in pictures, given that Euro 2012 is in full swing and the London Olympics is just around the corner?
For these kids, it must be awesome to have daddies who are renowned for their prowess in the sporting arena, some of whom are swoonworthy to boot. Not you, Beckham. Guardiola, we’re looking at you.
Here’s a glimpse of the tender moments some of the world’s most notable sporting personalities shared with their children or their fathers. Hope they elicit a warm, fuzzy feeling in you ... whether you’re into sports or not. Happy Father’s Day. – Compiled by Looi Lai Yee
