Sexy bad boys

Fictional hot guys make the grade in the latest issue of Galaxie.

Bad boys have an aura of mystery surrounding them. There is also a sense of aloofness about these guys.

It’s a tempting combination for many people of the female persuasion so much so that they are willing to throw caution to the wind when faced with the prospect of being with a bad boy.

Galaxie has zeroed in on 10 bad boy characters that have been heating up the TV screens recently in the cover story of the Aug 17-31 issue.

Leading the charge on the small screen is Damon Salvatore of The Vampire Diaries. He is arrogant and has a violent streak but he is also absolutely smouldering in his trademark leather jacket. Actor Ian Somerhalder relishes his role as the vampire. “I wanted (to be the bad boy). And I got it. Times 100. Which is pretty awesome,” says the 33-year-old star.

Joining Damon on Galaxie’s list of sexiest fictional bad boys on TV are True Blood’s Eric Northman, Gossip Girl’s Chuck Bass and Supernatural’s Dean Winchester.

Also in this latest issue: Kim Kardashian spills the beans on what viewers can look forward to in Season Seven of Keeping Up With The Kardashians; Galaxie chats with Kris Allen about being a heartthrob; and Jessica Biel is asked to talk about her first kiss.

In terms of posters, entertainment fans can look forward to placing the likes of Karmin, Carly Rae Jepsen, Total Recall’s Colin Farrell and The Hunger Games’ Josh Hutcherson on their walls.

Readers also stand a chance to win cool prizes like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Sony 4GB B series MP3 player by participating in the magazine’s “Picture Perfect Contest”. To be in the running, readers must collect three photos (that are published in three consecutive issues from the Aug 1-16 issue), piece them together, guess the celebrity and write a caption.

On top of that, plenty of movie merchandise are up for grabs in the new issue including HBO’s The Smurfs tote bags, limited edition The Expendables 2 and Rock Of Ages tank tops.

Like every issue before this one, Galaxie also reports on the latest in music, movies and TV plus celebrity goings-on. The latest issue, out this week, also shines the spotlight on local sporting heroes Datuk Lee Chong Wei and Pandelela Rinong Pamg winning medals at the London 2012 Olympics.

Galaxie, which is owned by Star Publications (M) Bhd and voted Entertainment Magazine Of The Year for two years straight, also has a presence online at galaxieblog.com.my.
