The ideal mother
THE article headlined Too busy for each other (Talking Point, Inbox, Aug 13) was interesting and should be read by every parent so as to understand the heart of a little child.
All mothers should aspire to be role models for their children.
The ideal mother is undoubtedly a woman more placid than nervous in temperament, more energetic than restless in habits, and with more strength of character and general good sense than specialised intellectual qualifications.
An ideal mother teaches her children to handle frustration, expresses her love for them, develops their sense of morality, and does not lose her patience.
A mother should respect each of her children’s opinions for better understand and bonding, and to help them in their development.
