Fareed Zakaria's plagiarism case of journalistic error?

Fareed Zakaria is possibly one of the most prominent commentators and pundits in the public sphere today. Your article on Sept 16 (Value added; Contradictheory) was interesting but I did feel it left the perception that Fareed’s undoubtable plagiarism was intended, rather than a case of journalistic error.
Quality journalists such as Fareed are few and far between these days and it is even more unusual for them to be seen prominently in television news.
The integrity of these journalists is paramount to an intelligent news debate and it is a shame that Fareed could not have been more careful and perhaps not over-stretched his obligations, which may have led to his haste.
I do believe that it may have been worth one extra sentence in your article to comment on the intention or lack thereof.
