The TimeWalker collection from Montblanc speaks to watch aficionados with a more elegant, contemporary taste.
FOR timepiece enthusiasts, Montblanc’s TimeWalker is one of its most iconic watches, especially in the chronograph segment.
Since its introduction in 2003 by leading luxury brand Montblanc, the TimeWalker collection has steadily risen to fame. It has achieved unmistakable status and represented the modern personification of Montblanc’s DNA for several years.
The appeal of the TimeWalker range is clear from the sleek and distinctive styling that’s strongly inspired by modern, open, glass-and-steel architecture. The collection speaks to watch aficionados with a more elegant, contemporary taste.
Now, there’s a new TimeWalker to thrill Montblanc fans.
Cool companion: Unlike most wristwatches, the Montblanc TimeWalker Chrono Voyager UTC shows the time in two different time zones at a glance. With a clear design referencing the architecture of the world’s metropolises, the new Montblanc TimeWalker Chrono Voyager UTC (leather strap RM19,000/ stainless steel RM19,800) with mechanical chronograph function and second time zone on a 24-hour scale is a sporty package.
Unlike most wristwatches, the Chrono Voyager UTC shows the time in two different time zones at a glance. This function has become increasingly important along with the growth of mobility across the boundaries of time zones. The dial instantly shows both the time in the user’s current time zone and at his residence. The Chrono Voyager UTC can be reset to show the time in any desired zone, thus making this timepiece a genuine time-zone watch.
The hour in the local time zone is indicated by a distinctively short hour-hand along the inner 12-hour scale, while the hour in the wearer’s home zone is shown by a long skeletonised hour-hand with a coloured tip that points to a 24-hour scale along the flange that bears a day/night indication as well, splitting the flange in light grey for the day hours and in dark grey for the night time.
The readily grasped crown bears a finely made waffle pattern and is inlaid with Montblanc’s logo. A domed and nearly invisible sapphire crystal which has been given anti-reflective treatment on both its surfaces protects the anthracite-grey dial, which has black Arabic numerals.
Other exciting TimeWalker designs include:
Montblanc TimeWalker TwinFly Chronograph Black Titanium Limited Edition. TwinFly Chronograph Black Titanium Limited Edition (RM40,300)
This winning piece manifests itself in a titanium case with black DLC coating: the lightweight high-tech metal is complemented by robust and extremely scratch-resistant DLC coating. A narrow bezel makes the readily legible black dial seem even more spacious, and the sapphire crystal above the dial is nearly invisible thanks to the anti-reflective treatment given to both its surfaces. Powered by Montblanc’s in-house movement calibre MB LL100, the watch’s distinctive “TwinFlyback” function is a strong asset of the TimeWalker TwinFly Chronograph. Limited to 300 pieces.
TwinFly Chronograph (RM24,800)
The stainless steel version is also powered by Montblanc’s in-house movement calibre MB LL100. Although this wristwatch is 43mm in diameter, it is lightweight and very comfortable to wear. The back of the case is equipped with a transparent sapphire crystal so aficionados can feast their eyes on the beautiful movement and its black, finely skeletonised winding-rotor. A window on the dial indicates the date and the luminescent hands are rhodium-plated. It is available in stainless steel with a triple-folding clasp.
The TimeWalker Automatic comes with automatic movement and date display. TimeWalker Automatic (RM9,900)
This sophisticated watch comes in two selections – in brown or black alligator-skin strap, silver or black dials and red gold-finished hands. The 42mm stainless steel watch comes with automatic movement and date display.
The TimeWalker collection is sold at Montblanc boutiques in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Suria KLCC.
