Healing lily

Vanity fare

Thanks to work stress and harsh environmental conditions, dull and uneven skin remain the perennial bane of Asian women.

To beat this old conundrum, French organic skincare brand Melvita taps into the healing power of the Madonna lily and narcissus to target the problem.

Lily oil is said to have been used in the medical industry to heal and treat wounds. Rich in boric acid, it is touted to help prevent skin pigmentation, while the narcissus has powerful brightening properties.

Five deliciously-scented products are offered in this line: Lily Oil, which is used prior to moisturising to give skin a lightening effect and reduce dark spots; Narcissus Extraordinary Water, a toner with a high concentration of hyaluronic acid to prepare the skin for the application of daily creams; Floral Bouquet Cleansing Foam, a soap-free formula; Floral Bouquet Cleansing Milk and Floral Bouquet Face Soap. The last three help to remove make-up and dirt from the face without drying out the skin.

Prices start from RM78. Available at all Melvita outlets.
