Starting a new

COLUMNIST Ida Nerina’s article New journey begins (in Crazy, Sexy, Honestly, Star2, Jan 6) about “firsts” – first words, first revelations, first fights, first loves and first steps towards the breaking of bad patterns, provoked much thought.

We all make mistakes we all need to forgive and be forgiven at some point. It’s better to focus on our own mistakes and ask forgivenees than to focus on other people’s mistakes. In a sense, there need be no real failure, only learning experiences put to good use in life. Many people, myself included, see sincere prayer as a way to sense the direction of conscience and to see life as a mission. Prayer gives us strength and courage to step back, admit mistakes, apologise and to then get back on track. Every living being gets one life and one chance to make things rights. That life ought to be enjoyed and loved as well as lived to the max. We all have our personal journeys and it is never too late to start a new journey.
