Lesson to learn from
I FIRST read the article during an English lesson. My teacher asked me to read the whole story and I was eager because the topic interested me. A Muslim saved a dog? That is so amazing! Nowadays, I think none of us are like that. Raja Mariam, you’re one in a million. As a Muslim, I feel so proud that you did everything you possibly could to take care of the injured dog, Senja (Missing Senja, Heart & Soul, Dec 30, 2012).
As you said, “we (humans and animals alike) are, after all, God’s creations”. No matter who you are, we’re all the same. It’s so hard to find someone like you, that is, warm-hearted enough to help the poor injured creature.
Your story gave me the realisation that we must all help each other. I thank you for setting such a good example for us all to follow.
