MALAYSIA, one of the largest producers of palm oil and palm kernel oil, accounts for 11.7% of the world’s production and 30% of exports of oils and fats.

In 2011, Malaysia produced 18.91 million tonnes of palm oil and 4.71 million tonnes of palm kernel oil, of which a combination of 19.17 million tonnes were exported.
