Look out for the Cadbury Dairy Milk Taxi which will be giving the public free taxi rides on March 20. NEED a lift? Chocolate brand Cadbury Dairy Milk is spreading some happiness by giving members of the public a free taxi ride around Kuala Lumpur tomorrow (March 20). Organised in conjunction with World Happiness Day, the “Cadbury Dairy Milk Taxi” will pick up and drop off passengers at two designated routes:
> Bangsar LRT station–Mid Valley Megamall–KL Sentral–Bangsar LRT station from 8.30am to 11am;
> KLCC LRT station–Jalan Bukit Bintang (Pavilion KL and Fahrenheit88)–Jalan Sultan Ismail–Jalan Ampang– KLCC LRT station from noon to 8pm.
Star2 had the honour of testing out the free service earlier today. Decked in purple-and-white candy stripes and gold accents, even from afar, the Hummer immediately does the trick and evokes feelings of ... well, happiness.
Inside, a magician awaits! No seriously. He entertains passengers with mind-boggling magic tricks and, of course, what better way to cheer up passengers than to offer some free chocolates as well.
Senior Brand Manager Toby Smart says the uplifting taxi ride was a way for the chocolate brand to give back to its customers. Smart says: “Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate has a special place in the hearts and lives of many Malaysians. World Happiness Day is the perfect event for us to thank our loyal consumers for their support.
We hope that our unique happy taxi will help Malaysia celebrate this day even more.”
Observed by the United Nations on March 20 annually, World Happiness Day is an effort to promote happiness and improve the lives of people around the world. In its 2012 World Happiness Report, Malaysia was ranked the second happiest nation in South-East Asia.
