Penang Port waiting for decision
GEORGE TOWN: Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB), which manages Penang Port, is still waiting for the final decision from the Federal Government in relation to its privatisation to Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar al-Bukhary’s company, Seaport Terminal Sdn Bhd.
Its managing director Datuk Ahmad Ibnihajar said until now there has been no signing or agreement made between the two parties because all matters on it were still at the discussion stage. “Until the Federal Government made the decision, we will wait, and the operations continue as usual. Whatever the decision, we will accept,” he told reporters at PPSB’s open house celebration at Tanjung Marina yesterday. — Bernama
