THE 20th Star Education Fair will take place on Jan 12 and 13 next year at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Aside from the opportunities to explore the different education programmes in more than 400 booths sprawled over five exhibition halls, there will be loads of freebies given out to people who participate in The Star’s survey.

Snack packs: Fartini and corparate communications executive Afraz Said presenting the McDonald’s vouchers for the Education Fair.
Among those sponsoring the goodies this year are McDonald’s, Faber Castell and Acer.

McDonald’s will be sponsoring 6,000 vouchers worth RM32,000 that can be used to redeem a burger from McDonald's outlets.

There will be 2,000 vouchers for Fillet-o-Fish, 2,000 vouchers for the Double Cheese Burger and 2,000 vouchers for the McChicken.

“There’s a small purchase condition to redeem the vouchers, but any purchase would do,” said McDonald's Malaysia corporate communications manager Fartini Zaharuddin.

Write away: Faber-Castell marketing executives Kenix Chan (left) and Tay Chwee Teing presenting the pens that will be given out to those who take part in The Star’s student poll.
”McDonald’s has been helping students with scholarships and various education programmes, but this is our first time participating in the Education Fair.”

Faber-Castell will be sponsoring 1,100 units of Jetstream Sport Uni Mitsubishi smooth gel pens with pigment ink that is waterproof.

The pens sport newly developed ink that achieves a new, smooth and light feel. The quick and light writing does not blur and stays bold.

Acer will be sponsoring 1,000 tote bags this year, with the Acer logo emblazoned on the dark green bag.

There will also be lucky draws during the Education Fair courtesy of Philips.

Up for grabs are a Philips DVD player, five shavers, three toasters, an electric sweeper, two Infracare, a box of Tornado bulbs and two Dect Phones.
