Island-themed expo
THE artworks of 47 lecturers in three universities are being featured in the Island to Island Exhibition at the Culture, Invention and Innovation Gallery in Uni-versiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang until Aug 10.
The exhibition is a joint collaboration between USM, University of Tasmania in Australia and University of Hawaii in United States.
The exhibits carry island-related themes and include oil paintings, prints and sculptures.
USM deputy vice-chancellor (student affairs) Assoc Prof Dr Omar Osman launched the event recently.
It was first held at the Australian university from March 9 to April 1 before coming to Penang.
Later, it will be held at the Hawaiian university from Aug 26 to Oct 5.
It is open from 9.30am to 5pm except on weekends. Admission is free.
