Car driver dies in road accident
PENANG: A man died about three hours after his car was involved in a road accident with a Rapid Penang bus in Teluk Bahang here yesterday.
Mohd Azanan Babjan, 27, was heading towards Teluk Bahang when his car hit the back of the bus at 6.50am.
He was believed to be on his way home after spending a night at his friend's house.
It is learnt that the bus driver and about 30 friends of Mohd Azanan, who were following behind his car on their motorcycles, pulled him out from the car.
He was admitted to the Penang Hospital where he died at 10.05am of severe head injuries.
Rapid Penang creative communication assistant manager Yap Lee Ying said the bus driver stopped his vehicle immediately after hearing a loud bang from the rear.
She said that after helping the trapped victim out from the car, the bus driver lodged a report at a police station.
