Concert by Iranian brothers
By ESTHER CHANDRAN
THE names Kamran and Hooman may not be familiar to Malaysians but to Iranians living here, the brothers are heartthrobs who have made a name for themselves in the Persian music scene.
The two are considered one of the biggest Iranian acts outside of Iran and their upcoming performance, the first in Malaysia, is something to talk about.
The Tehran-born, Canadian-grown duo kicked off their music career in Canada before journeying to the United States to join the group Black Cats.
Their departure from Black Cats saw Kamran and Hooman exploring a new career path as they appealed to Iranians all over the world with their brand of East and West flavoured music.
Popular: Kamran and Hooman (left) will perform at the Putra World Trade Centre on Oct 19. Their solo album “20’’ was well received by Persian music lovers.
They have held shows in major cities in the US, Canada, England, Australia, Germany, France, Sweden, Holland, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, U.A.E, Bahrain and many more.
The brothers are currently in the process of recording their first English album for the American market.
Many of their fans will be travelling in from neighbouring countries to attend their special concert at 7pm on Oct 19 at the Putra World Trade Centre.
The brothers who are considered the voice of the new generation will be flying in from Los Angeles to Malaysia for the event organised by Pars Travel Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
For now, tickets are priced at RM160 but on the day of the performance, the tickets will cost RM170.
The opening belly dance performance is by the Shahrezad Dancers from Gesmat Malaysia.
