Fashionable watches for the young
FOR the young and those young at heart, an exciting new watch boutique is in town. It was an unprecedented event for Titan Industries Limited, India’s leading producer and retailer in watch and jewellery, as its first Exclusive Titan Boutique in South-East Asia was launched at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur recently.
The boutique was inaugurated by the company’s managing director Bhaskar Bhat.
Joining in the festivities were local celebrities Kid Chan, Hunny Madu, Terrence C, Joyce Wong and William Quah.

He said Titan’s selection of watches was mainly targeted at young people between the ages of 16 and 28 years.
“Our collection of timepieces is fashionable and custom-made according to individual preference.”
Unique: Titan's Aviator Series, a collection of timepieces inspired by World War II Aircraft. Titan’s wide range of contemporary watches include up to 350 designs that emphasise simplicity and value for money.
“We have always focused on producing watches of good quality,'' said Bhat.
Two distinct highlights of the collection are the Titan Edge, touted as the slimmest watch in the world at a mere 1.15mm and the Titan Aviator Series that is inspired by World War II fighter planes.
Titan’s approach to watch-making lies in understanding the people and their culture in different parts of the world.
The boutique promises a customer-friendly experience with knowledgeable and trained staff.
According to designer Neil Foley, the boutique is meant to be an experimental zone, as certain elements will be periodically changed to match upcoming seasons.
With three more boutiques set to open on our shores by the end of this year, Bhat expressed his vision for Titan to become a defining watch retailer in Malaysia.
He said they expected to sell a million watches in South-East Asia within the next three to five years.
Titan’s collection of watches is available at a price range of RM100 to RM720. The boutique is at 1-43, 1st Floor, Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur.
