Staff get merry at dinner
THEMED, “Glamorous Night,” the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre's (the Centre) recent staff annual dinner proved to be lots of side-splitting laughter and fun, courtesy of sporting staff members from the various departments.
The evening was an opportunity for some of the Centre's 330 staff to “let their hair down”, show off hidden talents and party the night away.
The sales and marketing team won the Anugerah Karpet Merah (Red Carpet Award) for their creative dance moves to the sounds of Village People, Spice Girls and the Beatles. There was also a unique dikir barat presentation incorporating interpretations of the Maori haka and the modern samba by the Facilities team.
Besides skits and a delectable fusion buffet prepared by the Centre's 51-strong in-house culinary team, the highlights of the evening included lucky draws for prizes ranging from laptop computers and sporty Yamaha motorcycles.
Others were “You-Choose-Where” vacation packages and recognition awards for the best employee in each department.
Human Resources Centre's director Rohizat Baharum said the annual gathering provides an opportunity for everyone to be acknowledged and appreciated.
“At the Centre, we are firm believers that a team that works hard should play hard too!.”
