Deadline for entries extended
THE deadline to submit entries for Ipoh Starwalk 2008 has been extended to May 23 due to good response. The extension is however only for non-competition walkers. Yesterday, more than 1,000 people signed up for the June 15 event bringing the total number of entries to about 7,000.
The Star’s office at No 39, Jalan Hussein, 30250 Ipoh, will be open from 9am to 1pm today and tomorrow and from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday for the public to sign up for the 10km walk which will be flagged off from Stadium Indera Mulia at 7am. Entry forms are available from the office or can be downloaded from www.thestar. com.my.
Ipoh Starwalk 2008 is jointly organised by The Star and Ipoh City Council with the co-operation of the Perak Government and Perak Amateur Athletics Association in conjunction with the city’s 20th anniversary.
Entry fee for non-competition walkers is RM8. For details, call 05-2530402.
