Apartment owners up in arms over CFs
By M.KRISHNAMOORTHY
MORE than 200 apartment owners at Bandar Sunway Mutiara Perdana, PJS7, are crying foul over the CF and vacant possession notice to move in one year ago, as they cannot reside there because there are no electricity or water connections.
Subang Jaya assemblyman Hannah Yeoh discovered broken windows, no proper electricity and water connections, damaged floors and broken toilets during a recent visit.
Leftovers: Construction materials can still be seen abandoned in some of the units. She said the building was in a bad state and each apartment owner had paid about RM115,000 to receive an uninhabitable apartment.
Yeoh said she would bring up the complaints with the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) and other government authorities.
“The developers have breached the terms of handing over of vacant procession according to the Sale and Purchase Agreement,” she said.
Kelana Jaya MP Loh Gwo Burne, who was also present, said the government officials who had issued the CF without properly checking the premises should be questioned.
Purchaser Loke Khing Hong said he could not understand how MPSJ could issue the CF without the electricity and water supply in place.
He added that he had approached the Anti-Corruption Agency, MPSJ and the Housing and Local Government Ministry but nothing had been done.
“The developers have also refused to rectify the defective work at the apartments.
“They have made it difficult for purchasers to claim back the costs of the rectification and repair works,” Loke said.
