Linking up to benefit golfers

SSG Links has teamed up with Golf House and United Overseas Bank (UOB) to benefit its 3,000-odd members

To kick off the partnership, SSG Links is giving away 1,000 pairs of Mizuno golf shoes valued at RM499 each to every new participating member of SSG Links.

Active members, meanwhile, will enjoy special discounts on their purchases at Golf House. Moreover, for every purchase, they will get points for the in-house SSG Links Cash Reward Programme.

MoU signing: The representatives from SSG Links, Golf House, and UOB signing the MoU for their joint effort to make golf more affordable in Malaysia.

The points can be converted into cash rebates each time they they shop at any of the 14 Golf House outlets in the Klang Valley and the central region. They can even earn points when they play golf at selected golf clubs.

The SSG golf card allows members to play at some of the best courses run by SSG Links or those affiliated to it.

SSG Links chief executive officer Teo Teck Hua, Royal Sporting House golf division general manager David Leow and UOB credit card centre general manager Yap Kok Tee signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently.

Leow said with the partnership, Golf House aimed to achieve a wider customer base through SSG Links' membership base.

“We are happy to announce that we have set a target of a minimum of 6,000 members by the end of the year. Do look out for the Golf House logo on your SSG Links membership card soon,” said Leow.

Meanwhile, Yap said UOB had been working with the Saujana and RSH Malaysia for a long time and under this MoU, it would help in facilitating financing of membership.

The SSG Links card programme comes with golf lessons, a handicapping programme, six “home clubs”, and redeemable loyalty points.

Teo said members also enjoyed an easy payment scheme with the bank. “We have tournaments – the SSG Links Masters – catering to our members,” he said.
