Croatia celebrates 17th anniversary of its Independence

THE Croatian Embassy in Malaysia celebrated the country’s 17th anniversary of its Independence last week at Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur together with more than 200 guests.

The Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datin Paduka Rohani Abdul Karim gave a toast of honour to congratulate the European country and was gladly replied by Croatian ambassador Zeljko Cimbur.

Guests then mingled and proceeded to dinner of both Malaysian and Croatian delicacies.

They were treated to dishes such as Fried Rice Chinese Style, Fried Noodles, Palacinken with Nuts and Honey filling, Strukli and Strudl with Walnut and Poppyseed.

The celebration also marked the last for Cimbur as his term as an ambassador in the country would end this year.
